Good Threads Impact is a feature of this blog that focuses on the impact Good Threads is having in the lives of our employees. For this feature we ask each stitcher five simple questions. Enjoy!
Name: Angeléne and Jereno
Hometown: Jacmel, Sud-Est
Position with Good Threads: Angeléne and Jereno have been working with Good Threads since the beginning of 2016. They live near the Joan Rose Foundation and that’s how they heard about Good Threads.
1. What were your previous jobs before joining Good Threads?
Angeléne: I ran a small business out of my home. I still run the business.
Jereno: Me myself I work with the land. I am a farmer. I love farming a lot.
2. What do you like most about working for Good Threads?
Angeléne: Money! Without money you can’t live.
Jereno: I like stitching. When I stitch I am relaxed. I like the money too but I feel good stitching.
3. How has working for Good Threads impacted your life?
Angeléne: I am a better provider for my children. I have more money now so I can get them everything they need.
Jereno: Right now I am adding on to our house. We are putting most of the money we earn into our home. When we are gone this will belong to our daughters and they won’t have to worry about a place to live.
4. What is your favorite item to stitch for Good Threads?
Angeléne: I like doing the boats and flag belts. I don’t like the shapes belts. They take too long to stitch and are difficult!
Jereno: Me myself I like the boats belts.
Our current collection of Sailboat Needlepoint Belts.
5. What would you like to share to those who purchase Good Threads products?
Angeléne: Buy more belts please! If you buy more then I have more work and make more money.
Jereno: I hope you are happy with the products we make. We work hard to make beautiful products for you and I pray to god you are satisfied.
